Water and music have a much closer bond than commonly thought. Music affects water as much as water inspires musicians. When put together, they can work miracles for the soul and the body. Humans are musical creatures made of water, and that’s why the combination of the two feels comfortable, relaxing, and peaceful. We’ve carefully crafted these five beautiful compositions and mixed them with different nature soundscapes, all including water. You can enjoy the ocean, relax by a river, sleep by the lake or at home while the raindrops soothe your soul.

Water has served composers as musical inspiration for a number of reasons: as the backdrop for opera and musical theater, as an image to be represented in musical sound, as a source of natural sound to be imitated in music, and as a cultural icon. Throughout history, composers have been asked to write music to be "played upon the water." Venetian musicians composed much brass music for barges. The most celebrated piece of such music was composed in England, by Handel, for a 1717 party for George I upon the Thames.
